NCR Application Process
The next application period for the Notation in Cultural Rhetorics will open on October 2nd and close at 5pm on October 27th. Applications are also being accepted on a rolling basis. Read below for more details on how to apply or click through to the application form.
How to Apply
Admittance to the Notation in Cultural Rhetorics is competitive. To apply, you should submit an essay of no more than 500 words in which you address both of the following prompts:
- Why is it important for Stanford undergraduates from any major to develop a deep understanding of cultural rhetorics and communication practices?
- How would developing stronger communication skills informed by deeper understanding of cultural rhetorics be useful for your academic or career goals?
When to Apply
The program typically runs application periods in the Fall (for Juniors and Sophomores) and Spring (for Sophomores and First-Year Students). The next application period will open on October 2nd.
