NSC Application Process
The official fall application cycle for the Notation in Science Communication is now closed; however, the notation is still accepting applications on a rolling basis.
How to Apply
Admittance to the Notation in Science Communication is competitive. To apply, students should submit an essay of no more than 500 words in which they address both of the following prompts:
- Why is effective Science Communication important?
- How would becoming a better science communicator be useful for your academic or career goals?
When to Apply
The program typically runs application periods in the Fall (for Juniors and Sophomores) and Spring (for Sophomores and First-Year Students). Applications are also accepted on a rolling basis. If you would like to apply outside of the standard application periods, please submit your application and follow up with an email to notationsc@stanford.edu for details about when your application will be evaluated.
